Critique Reflection

 Comments On My Animation.

People really liked how I animated my spoon in my scene and how it was like a pov shot of someone walking through the kitchen. Winnie liked my title and Abigal liked my transition from my video to my ending scene. I agree with every single one of these comments, these were definitely the parts I was most proud of, and hoping it would show through and it did.

What did I do best?

I think the best on my camera movement (not key frames) mostly because I think it was a unique way of inputing it.

What did my classmates think I did best?

I think they said I did the best of building a story? Since it was just like if someone was talking around their kitchen checking everything out.

What can I improve?

I can improve on my texturing a lot and making my animations look a lot more smoother. I also really need to learn how to really story board and key frame better since my whole video was in 2X speed.

What's in a Kitchen?

My idea going into this project was to end up looking at the window with the spatula hanging and swinging from side to side much like a pendulum. I got this idea from me observing my surroundings and cleaning up my kitchen one night nothing how the spatula moves back and forth much like a pendulum. Taking inspiration from my own house kitchen the final scene of the spatula was supposed to be a more balanced principle of design, although my scene is more unbalanced if you look at it as a whole.

How did that work out?

  • I personally think the final product looked pretty nice, yes there are things I would change. Such as how fast everything went. I couldn't tell how fast something was going until after I rendered everything and how badly the motion blur made everything like Sonic was using the camera. I had some struggles with rendering on how it was a black scene, somehow fixed that. But I had troubles with the camera on how it wouldn't rotate or how to move it to look imbalanced and as if someone is walking. I might have exaggerated a lot of movement but overall I think I achieved my goal of making it balanced yet imbalanced at the same time.
